Happy July
Summer is easy.
Or it is after you find the best produce and fish. The flavors of summer require a light, careful hand. No need to get fancy – just let nature do it’s magic. Green beans, red peppers, yellow corn, tomatoes, basil, eggplants, peaches and plums. Sunshine in every bite.
We are now open 6 nights a week through September. Tuesday to Sunday.
Artwalk at the Port: Thursday, July 8.
Here’s the way we see it. You arrive. Sit down and order a Peach Daiquiri. A divine, summery tipple. Gaze outside at the boats and Cape D. Look inside at Eric Wiegardt’s lovely landscapes. Choose your dinner. Maybe a salad with greens from Stockhouse’s Farm on Puget Island. Then Halibut, or Salmon? Maybe a little wine? (What is a Rotgipfler anyway?) Finish with plum tart or bourbon cheesecake with peaches in caramel. Leave relaxed, restored and happy.

July Cocktail of the Month

Peach Daiquiri –
2 oz Mount Gay Rum
1 1/2 oz peach puree
1 oz simple syrup
juice of 1/2 a lime.
Combine in a shaker with ice. Shake well and serve up in a martini glass with a sugared rim.
(We juice ripe peaches in a Champion juicer. Or you could use a blender and then strain the puree.)
Have a fantastic summer. Celebrate with friends and family. Come, relax and enjoy this beautiful corner of the world.
And, as always, we thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you,
Shelly & Jeff
PS – Rotgipfler is a white wine grape from Austria. Makes a really, really charming wine.
